Water for Elephants - Sara Gruen If I told you I've just got back from the most spectacular journey to the past - to the world of circus where the ugly truths about it are shoved in your face one after another - you wouldn't believe me until you have read Water for Elephants. By the end of it (too bad it ended too fast no matter how slow I was taking it), I was rendered speechless. Honestly, I don't know how to speak of the book, or what to write for that matter because it's sooooo good! Every chapter is a journey if its own, bringing wonderful, wonderful experiences to you.

Water for Elephants tells the story of Jacob Jankowski and how he gets to enter the haywire world of circus to escape his haunting past. He doesn't even realize the train he just got himself into is the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth, until he is hired the next morning. From there, the story takes a fascinating turns to bring you a second hand experience of what the circus life looks like from a closer view. What I liked best about this book is the vivid depiction of the narrator. It's almost like experiencing it oneself. Almost.

Overall, FANTASTIC READ!
