Nevermore - Kelly Creagh So, what did I think of this book?

To some extent, I think it was good. I was completely caught up in the story. I liked the idea that got the story going, the paranormal feel of it. Don't get me started on the amount of suspense I had to endure last night. Alone. In my room. Everybody else was sleeping already. Ugh, it was killing, I swear my heart could have stopped beating a couple of times. I read on until late of the night, coz I thought I could handle it, you know. Then, it started to get scarier and scarier by the minute. My imagination ran wild, I started to get paranoid. Every sound, every movement startled me. I just couldn't, so I stopped and went to sleep. Thankfully, I slept through it. I hate having nightmare. But yeah, that was how I felt last night, reading this. That was definitely something. So, thumbs up

My only problem with Nevermore would be that I felt unnecessarily lost at some parts in the story, like huh what the hell just happened? For instance, when Isobel and Varen were camping out at Varen's. Though I suspect it would be elaborated further in the second installment, I hated that it was so vague. Why was Varen's father hated him so much? Who is Varen's mother to begin with? I especially hated when the scene at Varen's ended, there was no more of that. I didn't feel justified. I really really hope it would be explained later, coz I am still perplexed with what happened there.

Overall, good read!
